Setting up your presale

What each presale setting in Advanced Launch does and how to pick numbers your community can reach.

This guide walks through the presale step of Advanced Launch. If you are using Quick Launch, everything here is preset. For what the launch types are, read Launch types explained first.

Bonding curve

Two settings:

  • Curve tier sets the hard cap: $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000. The presale runs until that much is raised, however long it takes.
  • Price multiplier (2× to 10×) sets how much the price climbs from the first buyer to the last. The wizard shows the resulting start price, end price and launch price as you move the slider.

A low multiplier keeps the curve gentle and the launch price close to where early buyers got in. A high multiplier rewards the earliest buyers a lot more, and gives late buyers less reason to come in.

Fixed price

  • Hard cap (at least $10,000): the most you will raise. Reaching it lets you launch early.
  • Soft cap (at least $10,000): the least you must raise by the end. Miss it and the presale fails. Set it at a level you are confident about; the launch fee is not refunded on a failed presale (only a Team Finance lock fee comes back, in USDC).
  • Duration: 7 to 180 days.

The presale price is also the launch price.

Stepped price

  • Hard cap (at least $20,000) and soft cap. The wizard sets a minimum soft cap that depends on the multiplier.
  • Number of steps (3 to 10) and price multiplier (1.5× to 4×). The wizard shows the price of every step.
  • Duration: 30 to 365 days.

Direct liquidity

One setting: the initial liquidity in USD, at least $2,000, paid in PBTC at launch. We recommend $5,000 or more; thin liquidity means every trade moves the price a lot. The launch price follows from the liquidity and the tokens that go into the pool.

Settings shared by the presale types

Whale protection caps how much of the presale allocation a single wallet can buy, from 0.5% to 10%. On fixed and stepped presales you can also switch on vest excess over limit: a buyer who goes over the cap still gets the tokens, but the part above the cap is vested: 30 days for every limit's worth of excess. With a 1% limit, a wallet buying 2% has 1% vested over 30 days; a wallet buying 3% has 2% vested over twice that. Without it, purchases above the cap are rejected.

Staking during presale (fixed and stepped only) lets buyers put their tokens into your staking pool before the presale ends, so they earn from day one. It needs a staking pool, which you set up in the extras step.

Early access is on for every presale: for 10 minutes after creation, only wallets that burn $10 of COAL can buy.

Timing

Your presale opens to the public 10 minutes after you launch it from the wizard. Fixed and stepped presales end automatically at their end time; once the hard cap is reached you can launch early from My Tokens.
