Liquidity and LP locks

What happens at launch

When a presale finishes, the factory creates a Uniswap V3 pool for your token against PBTC and puts in the raised PBTC together with the tokens set aside for liquidity, at the launch price. It also creates a smaller token/WETH pool, seeded with 10% of the raise (up to $2,000) so the token can be reached from ETH too. For a direct liquidity launch, the PBTC you provided goes into the pool instead of presale proceeds.

Both liquidity positions are locked. Nobody, including you, can pull the liquidity while the lock runs.

The two locks

Token Forge lock is included with every launch. The position stays in the Token Forge factory contract for the period you chose (6 to 24 months, 12 months in Quick Launch), and anyone can check it on-chain.

Team Finance lock is the premium option ($140). The position is locked with Team Finance instead, and the lock shows up automatically on DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, DexTools and similar sites, which many traders look for before buying. You can pick it in the wizard or upgrade to it later from My Tokens, as long as the Token Forge lock has not expired yet. The upgrade is paid in USDC.

The token/WETH position always stays in the Token Forge lock, whichever option you chose for the main pool.

While the lock runs

Both pools earn trading fees, and you can collect them at any time from the Earnings tab in My Tokens, separately for the PBTC pool and the ETH pool, whichever lock you chose.

After the lock ends

Once the lock period is over, the Liquidity tab in My Tokens lets you claim the LP position (an NFT) into your wallet. From there it is a normal Uniswap position that you manage yourself. Positions locked with Team Finance are released through Team Finance.

For buyers

The token page shows the lock type and how long is left. A long lock, or a Team Finance lock, is a good sign; it means the liquidity cannot disappear on you.
