Wallet and funding

Which wallets work, how to connect, and how to get PBTC, COAL and USDC for what you want to do.

Token Forge runs on Base, so you need a wallet that supports Base and a little ETH on Base for transaction fees.

Connecting

Click Connect Wallet in the top bar. Browser wallets such as MetaMask or Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, and mobile wallets through WalletConnect all work. If your wallet is on another network, the app asks you to switch to Base before any transaction.

You can also open Token Forge inside the Base App; it connects to the Base App wallet automatically.

What you need

  • To buy into a presale: PBTC, or almost any token on Base (ETH, USDC and so on), which is swapped into PBTC for you as part of the purchase.
  • To trade launched tokens: PBTC or almost any token on Base. Trades route through PBTC.
  • To launch a token: the launch fee in PBTC or USDC. See Fees and payment.
  • To earn COAL: PBTC to stake.
  • For early access, the launch discount or Coal Boost: COAL to burn.

In every case, keep a little ETH on Base for gas. Transactions on Base cost a fraction of a cent.

Getting PBTC and COAL

Use the Trade page: pick what you pay with (ETH, USDC or most other Base tokens) and PBTC or COAL as what you receive. The launch wizard and the Earn COAL page open the same swap in a dialog when you are short.

Getting ETH onto Base

Bridge from Ethereum or another network, withdraw directly to Base from an exchange that supports it, or buy in Coinbase Wallet or the Base App.
